Repetive,
By ESB (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The alli Diet Plan (Paperback)
Initially I was excited about this book as a companion to the Alli pills I purchased. That is, until I opened the Alli box and found there was ample literature about diet and exercise included.
My advice is to see if you really want more information than provided, and then go ahead and buy the book. I wish I hadn't.

An excellent addition to your Alli Diet Plan,
By
This review is from: The alli Diet Plan (Paperback)
Yes, the starter kit includes cards which have some of the same information contained in this book. I still think the book is a great asset, as it is far easier to find the exact chapter you need, whether it is starting a walking or other exercise plan - or simply planning meals, with tons of recipes included in Chapter 6
Other benefits of this book include: A Detailed explanation of how Alli works Explaining each of the three phases of the diet as well as menus for each phase Teaching people how to stick to the plan and still eat out Exercise Recipes which are LOW in fat, minimizing the unpleasant side effects of taking too much fat while on this medication.

I tried the pill without the plan and had some side effects, but when I followed Dr. Apovian's plan I was fine. This book helps me stick to the diet longer.

Alli- Finally-a diet aid that works!!,
This review is from: The alli Diet Plan (Paperback)
I'm one of those people that has a very slow metabolism so in the past I've had to nearly starve myself to loose any weight. I've been on alli for almost 5 weeks and have lost 9 lbs. That's a great accomplishment as far as I'm concerned because I LOVE to eat, especially ice cream! The diet, low fat, is fairly easy to follow however grocery shopping and taking the time to check out the contents of items takes a bit longer than I like. Fortunatlly my support system is GREAT! My husband is behind me 110% although he loved me as I was...but I didn't. I like the responsibility alli takes in communicating with me, reminders, etc. I have a bit more to loose but the future is looking great. My advice; 'Try is you'll like it."

A Good Plan,
By Suzanne K (Atlanta, GA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The alli Diet Plan (Paperback)
When I bought the alli starter kit it came with some little booklets that gave me suggestions, but this book gave me a real plan to follow. The menu plans are particularly helpful because I can't be bothered with calculating my daily calories and fat--and with this book I don't have to--as long as I follow the menus. And there are so many menus to choose from. The fitness plan is also very realistic--it helps get you moving without having to spend hours at the gym, which is exactly what I needed!

On the Road with alli,
By KG (Irvine, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The alli Diet Plan (Paperback)
The "Eating Out with alli" chapter was such a relief! I travel so much for work so diet plans are always impossible for me to follow, but this book gives so many options for what to eat at real restaurants that I actually go to. It doesn't just say "buy a tossed salad", it tells you what to eat where--that's a lifesaver for someone like me.

Save Your Money,

This review is from: The alli Diet Plan (Paperback)
I was hoping to find definitive information within this book. However, it was not to be. It really didn't list any new information than was offered by the instruction booklet that comes with the pills. In fact, it appeared to just be a PR device for the product. What a disappointment. Save your money.

This Product Works!!!!,

This review is from: The alli Diet Plan (Paperback)
It is so easy to do. Watch your fat intake and take the pills and you can lose the weight you want to. You still have the responsibility to exercise and watch what you eat but the pills take care of any excess fat that you consume. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to learn to eat healthier as well as losing unwanted pounds.
The books simply helps with recommended menus, foods you can eat out and some good recipes that you can make for yourself. Lowfat products are everywhere these days. You can make a delicious meal with the recipes in the book.

Not necessary,

I honestly don't think you need this book if you buy one of the Alli starter kits. They provide enough info and hints, combined with access to the web site.

The alli Diet Plan
I have been using the Alli product for a month and have lost 11 pounds. This book is a great asset to have, it helps with the hard to find recipes and has helpful hits along the way. It also talks about how to maintain your weight when you have lost the pounds you wanted. A must read for all Alli users |
