a couple of months ago, i ran across a series of books on early military leaders. i think there were 6 total, including alexander, hannibal, genghis, caesar, ramses II... i thought to myself "this would be a perfect christmas present for my son!!"

unfortunately, i didn't have the wherewithall to actually write down the name of the series and now can't find it. would anybody happen to know which series of which i'm speaking? i want to say that it was written for high school readers...??

J. Croll says:
Osprey Publishing out of the UK does a series on military commanders. I've seen volumes on Caesar and Hannibal. Each is less than 100 pages long. Pretty concise, but Osprey has a well deserved reputation for excellence. Hope this helps!
