Does anyone think that 'COLDHAND' is the long lost Benjen Stark?

So as I was reading ADWD..a sudden idea came to my idea. We never came to know what happen to Benjen Stark. It was just mentioned that he was lost in one of the ranger mission. His body was never found (dead body or living dead). Now, we know that 'COLDHAND' was a ranger of the nightgaurd, who was killed by the 'others' (as mentioned by the Children of the forest in ADWD). My guess is COLDHAND is Benjen Stark. What do you guys think??

K. Stacey says:
No. Bran knows his Uncle; he would recognize Benjen (even mildly Corpseified) and as he did not in DWD, there's no reason to think that CH is Benjen Stark.

I think it is far more likely that CH is a Hero from the Age of Heroes.

Yes, I agree that Bran would have recognized his uncle, and there is possibility that he may from the age of heroes. But as per the book, CH always keep her face covered. That could have been the reason why Bran was unable to recognize Benjen. Just a thought...

CH is a man, and I am certain that Bran would recognize his voice, nonetheless.

I think there was a comment that he was dead a long time as well. Goo to westeros.org they have the answer
The question is if Bloodraven (the tree guy) is controlling Coldhands who is controling the Wights?
Stay tuned for 2016 when the answer may or may not be revealed :P

Yes, plenty of people think that Benjen Stark is Coldhands.

I think they're wrong though.

I thought when Bran was in the abandoned village just before he met the Three Eyed Crow that it was said that Cold Hands was his uncle Brandon. I need to get the book back from my husband so I can find it again...

You seem to be the most knowledgeable on the facts of the series...do you remember the chapter I am referring to...Or did I total miss the context there?

I only read Dance once through (so far) and that was mostly for story, not for content; I'll give you my two cents on the chapter though, if you want.

EDIT: Are you referring to the fact that they call CH a "ranger?"

There is no such passage and in any event the elder Brandon was not a ranger.

K. Stacey says:
They do refer to CH as a Ranger, serveral times, infact.

I know, that's what I'm saying; Brandon was not a ranger. He's seems an unlikely candidate for Coldhands which is my politically correct way of saying there's no way he's Coldhands.

K. Stacey says:
I assumed that Anglin had mixed up the names; Brandon is just so far out as a candidate it's ridiculous. I mean, Wymar Royce has a better chance of being CH then Brandon.

Mistyped what? Brindon, Benjen, Brienne, Baelish, barbed wire?

Brandon for Benjen. Or maybe mixed up the two characters.

I always figured it was Benjen but I have found it best to dance around such issues and pretend it could be just about anybody so people don't have a panic attack at my offensive alpha male Gatling gun rhetoric.

Are my posts coming across with [i hate you] html tags? That would explain a lot.

[hate=1]No. However, your random spurts of trolling are annoying to me, so I don't feel any sort of need to "reach out," if you will. [/hate]

EDIT: By the by, thank you for the tags; I love them.

Yahoo, Facebook and Hotmail are down in Egypt right now. The last time that happened was the night before I went out to eat tear gas on "Angry Friday" on Jan.28.

I think the Egyptians are going to attack Israel. Please someone come help...
