I find myself hoping for the best and waiting for something to tell me not to buy this game. Huge fan of the comic books and I know it's based on a movie, but I'm really hoping for the best. Am I alone?

Day 1 buy for me ... why?

1. It's Wolverine in HD
2. It features a Sentinel battle
3. It has a "mature" rating for all the gory limb severing, gushing blood and exposed vital organs.
4. Raven, the developers that made X-Men Legends are behind this project and that game was great.
5. It was in development before the movie tie-in came into fruition.
6. It features Wolverine's leaping ability.
7. Raven has already said they will feature additional costumes to unlock
8. Trophy support
9. Some of the game play resembles God of War and Uncharted
10. No quick time events ... everything flows in and out of real gameplay

Yeah, I've looked into it. I'm thinking of pre-ordering...

Wow, that is a lot of valid reasons. The only thing I knew was that they were ready to release it a long time ago, but when they found out a movie was in the works, they just decided to release it with the movie and have taken the time since to polish the game and add some new features.

Yeah, had to order it. Cross the fingers.

Any word on it yet?? I keep hovering around the order it, but it got a 70 on Metacritic.. but still.. I would just like to know how it is from another casual gamer like me

I had rented it this morning and I have to say I am having a ball with it. I don't know how long it is yet so I cannot say if it's worth 60 but Raven did a great job...there are points where I have taken so much damage that I am little more than skeleton and guts. Lot's of fun!

Sweeeet I think I'm gonna pick it up now. thanks!

One more I'd like to add to that, the solid voice acting from Hugh Jackman (Logan/Wolverine), and Liev Schreiber (Victor Creed/Sabretooth).....and I do mean solid.

Deadpoolbugle.com reported that Raven talked about their interest in making a Deadpool game. Obviously this is really really premature but fun to think about!
