Can Netgear N600 act as a wireless repeater for a Linksys 120N ? I bought a N600 WNDR3400 for my apartment, which is within the premises of the company I work for. the company building uses the linksys router and i was wondering if i could catch the signals, which i already get in one bedroom, and extend it to the rest of my apartment using the N600 as a range extender or repeater. i dont have permission for a cat 5 to run all the way to my place. so any ideas what to do? just my luck i read that DD-WRT doesnt work with either router. appreciate the help in advance

Yes you can! Dont' forget, you can also slap an external usb drive with your media files(or photos, music, whatever) into the back. Now you can access those files in your apartment, or on the go/ online: stream it to wherever you are in the world! Or download it with the routers built in FTP, and http FTP set up.
Surprisingly, no problems at all, and very impressive range! (minimum of 83% signal in all rooms in 3 story house!) Honestly the last time it was reset was about 2 months when a storm knocked out the power. I haven't had any compatibility issues with any of the usb storage either. The usb port was able to read all my flash drives, 2 different ide-usb external drives, my sata dock(with drives ranging from 60gb-1.5tb), and my 2.5 external.
-Sergio, have you installed the latest firmware? another problem might be if your usb device isnt externally powered, and needs more then 500ma.
