Definitely the first book is. After that it is still fine in my opinion but it depends on what you are ok with your teen reading. There is a little bit of intimacy but nothing racy and no sex. I'm in the middle of book four and so far it's fine. I have a 17 year old neice and I'd totally let her read it. Hope this helps.

It is adolescent (I mean it's about a high school girl who finds out she's a part of a secret and magical world), but if you enjoyed reading Twilight or Harry Potter, you'll enjoy this book. If you're still on the fence, read the first chapter. If you're not sucked in by the end of that, don't read it.

Sorry, didn't have the audio book just the e copy. But I loved the book and have read all the rest except the final one. Loved them all. Loved the movie of City of Bones, also.
