The most comfortable headphones I have are 'open', and I can wear those for hours comfortably. That's a great question. The air cups are pretty big. Depending on if your conscience is based on size or the headphones interrupting your hearing aids. I would consult your Dr.

My Bose headphones crapped out some time ago, but when I used them for watching movies on cross-country flights with my laptop, I had to use a booster amplifier to get the volume loud enough (Boostaroo is the brand). Without the booster amp, I just couldn't hear what I wanted to. Hope that helps.

Its a small jack and i would advise not getting the noise cancelling head phones get the regular ones. Batteries are needed for noise cancelling and can be costly.

There should be a (very) little flap on the side of one earphone (you have to tilt the earphone because the flap is underneath the headband). 1 AAA battery is needed

Yes, work with an android. But the up/down volume button don't work with the android but the play/pause (answer) button work with the android.
