But it says in thir TOC that refurbished items have a 30 day waiting period before coverage starts and if something happens it's considered pre existing. So it leads me to think they do cover them. I was just trying to figure this out for myself

I decided to buy the warranty here on Amazon and just give it a shot. They did accept my registration and my receipt from a product purchased somewhere else. I sent them a copy of my receipt as part of the registration and then called to confirm that everything was good to go.
Personally, I'd much rather buy electronics here from Amazon whenever possible. The only reason I didn't buy my computer from Amazon was because they couldn't match the student discount I got elsewhere. see less

I guess. I bought mine at the time I purchased my computer. It was on the right side of the screen and purchased them both together.
I would not know of any reason why you couldn't purchase it.
