I think Canon only accepts US warranties, no out of country warranties. That's why the prices are materially different. I would avoid buying on Amazon unless the seller guarantees US warranty. You can also try B&H Photo online.

whether or not if the lens you have fit a t3i, I would definitely recommend t3i in your case. T3i comes with articulate LCD that would be awesome for live-view video recording. I have to remove my battery from the camera to charge it. So the answer to your question would be "no". I have considered having 2 batteries so I will always have a fresh charged battery. Hope this hellps
