it needs a two plug wall outlet. BTW... it cannot be one of those GFI plugs that have to "trip" switch in the middle of the plug. Just the regular vanilla plug. Does that help?

That means your NOT protected! Did you try it in another outlet? I can't see the LED going out. (but it is possible, but very rare) I have 3 and they all work just fine. I have also let a few friends try them out with no problems.

The description says it has safety covers. I take it to mean the outer plastic rotates, but not the whole socket. It sure would be nice if they turned one or two for the pictures.
