If device is set up properly along with a properly set up computer the extender will do what it is meant to. If you have buffering problems and signal drop (internet) and they no longer occur. I would assume your problems are fixed. The unit covers 6500 sq. ft.

Answer:
It can, but the whole point of it is to extend your range. My router is in the garage (satellite) and the extender is in my computer room. Gets the signal out to my back patio. Seamless to get started up- works just fine for me.

Not 100% sure if you will be able to extend that far but what I can tell you is when extending the wifi signal you lose performance and internet speed the farther the extender is from the router and the farther your products that you will be using are from the extender hope this helps
