Answer:
Yes but you need a cable with a mini stereo jack on each end. I plug mine into portable speakers and it sounds great anywhere you go.

All of my music is on the Mac therefore I use the Mac's iTunes to setup play lists and download music to the Shuffle. You can download music from you PC, but you will need to go to the Apple website and download the iTunes first (it's free). Next you will need to set up an iTunes account (it's free too, but you will need to register a credit card - they are hoping that you will eventually buy music from Apple but you don't have to). Once you have iTunes and an account you can manage music for the Shuffle. I don't know if iTunes will automatically pull music from your PC or if you will need to import your music. You can check the Apple website for help on that or do a quick Google search to answer that question. Both my children enjoy their Shuffles. May I will give you one more piece of advice with putting the music onto the Shuffle? Don't simply transfer CDs straight to the Shuffle - instead create individual playlists in iTunes and have them transferred onto the Shuffle. That will give you the power to have the specific playlist "named" when you wish to listen to it. If you simply transfer CDs onto the Shuffle the music will play but you will not be able to have each CD named when searching. (I hope I am making sense here - this is harder to put into words than to tell people in writing.) If there are any more questions you can ask and I will see if I can answer them. see less
