No it doesn't. From the manual: "SPDIF OUT - DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (coaxial): Use a digital coaxial cable to connect your TV to a compatible audio receiver." Your only option for analog (other than purchasing a digital -> analog converter) is to use the headphone jack w/adapter cabling for basic (2 ch) stereo output.

It seems as good or better than most televisions - I have my friends cable box feeding optical to a Philips 5.1 blue ray, but the TVs sound is pretty decent by itself. Also the menu functions are easy to use, an issue with many televisions. The TV itself is 37" wide but the base is only 17". It will fit your stand of you don't mode the TV overhanging each side by about 4".

It is exactly that. It's an affordable large-screen LCD TV. I have the 50" and its' been great since setting it up 4 months ago. Samsung and those more popular names are nice if you are looking for a few more bells and whistles. Those are usual Smart TVs and include Netflix, Hulu, etc. apps. This TV does not. It depends on what your connecting the TV to (Devices, antennas, etc...) most of them are in 60 hz. and not 120, but this TV is capable of 120hz. Checked it some sports channels, and 1080i stations on the antenna and cable. Blur-Ray is also 60hz mostly. That will get better.
