I use my Samsung Galaxy camera in conjunction with iPhoto just about every day. Yes, it is fully compatible with iPhoto.

Absolutely not you must be doing something wrong this camera is phenomenal for the price range. Here is what you need to check: make sure the iso is no higher than 800, make sure you shoot at the maximum resolution and images are stored in super fine mode. Make sure you have no filters or effects of any sort.

I am on my second vacation with this camera me and my wife shoot about 200 pics a day and never miss a picture. see less

The iPhone five I know takes great pictures, I have one but I have to say this camera has it beat. Very crisp and clear photos.

Not that I know about, although you can download any app from Samsung or Google app stores and if they have an app that will do that then you would be able too. It has decent voice control if you are in close range.

I can't speak to indoor basketball shots but I did take action shots fully zoomed in of a dozen sea gulls swooping down for fish and it caught them like they were still. You also have advance control of shutter speed, aperture etc beyond the preset action function. I download a weather app where I can view 5 day forecast for my favorite vacation spots. This is like an iPhone, but without the phone calling capability. If you're interested in combining videos, the camera's editing software does have this ability. The GC110 does have the Panorama shooting mode.
