The Dual View is intended to be used as a dash cam to monitor the vehicle while it is powered on and being used. It records both inside the vehicle with the rear-facing dash cam as well as the road in front of you. The device is not intended to stay on and monitor while the vehicle is turned off and not all vehicles will continue to feed the camera power when off. The best way to monitor potential vandalism to a vehicle would be to have a camera outside of the vehicle monitoring where it is parked. see less
