Mac works fine - pop the microSD card into an adapter (SD or USB) and put that in your Mac, works without problems. Had some issues connecting the unit directly via USB (see my review for that)

Press and hold both volume adjustment buttons at the same time to reveal the hidden menu. Use the right or left volume control to scroll over to "Monitor Setting" and press OK. The next screen should be "DV", if not use the volume control to get to that menu and press OK which will add a highlight at the top of the screen. Use the right volume control to scroll through the menu to the last option which is "DV Audio" and press OK to go to the on/off menu. Use the volume control to choose "ON" and press OK. Press ESC to back out of the menus. Press and hold both Volume control buttons at the same time to back out of the hidden menu. There is a good UTUBE tutorial on the use of this product that I recommend watching since the included instruction manual is not very helpful. Hope this helps. see less

The power source are suggested to plug in all time as the battery can last 4 hours on itself.
It is in a clock shape, so people would not be suspicious with the power plugged in.

In case it matters, with my 32GB card installed and the camera set on motion detection I can record from 7 am till 5 pm and uses 3.11GB. In case it matters, with my 32GB card installed and the camera set on motion detection I can record from 7 am till 5 pm and uses 3.11GB. Here is some info from my first time using it, I had 69, 5 min recordings at aprox 43,000KB on avg. So the total of 69 five min files was 3.11GB. I would estimate .54GB per hour. So a 32 GB card should hold approx 59.25 hours of video and audio. Hope this helps see less

Yes, the unit will run on the battery. If the unit is on continuous recording, the power last about 4 hours. If it is in stand-by, motion detection mode, you should be good for 10-12 hours.
