Autoclave Accessories, including sterilization pouches and autoclave tape, are used in a wide variety of industries to ensure that items are processed correctly to maintain sterility over time. Sterilization pouches, sometimes called sterilization bags or autoclave bags, are used either to process items in bulk or to process individual instruments. Instruments that are sterilized in an autoclave bag or sterilization pouch remain sterile for up to six months or until the bag is opened, enabling instruments to be stored for later use. High-capacity autoclave bags are often used in industrial settings to sterilize multiple items or larger items such as bedding or textiles. In these instances, heat-sensitive autoclave tape is often applied to bag prior to processing. Autoclave tape changes color when exposed to high heat to indicate that the items have been processed.
