Selecting an Air Sampling Filter on Amazon.com
An air sampling filter helps detect pollutants, chemicals, volatile and semivolatile organic compounds (VOCs and SVOCs), and toxic industrial compounds (TICs) in a facility or region. Air monitoring is a common process in industrial, scientific, and military applications where workers may be exposed to chemicals in the air. In conjunction with an air sampling pump (which monitors specific areas of a facility) or a personal test kit (which a worker can wear to monitor daily exposure), an air sampling filter captures air samples for analysis of particulate, gases, or vapor. Some air sampling filters are made of glass fibers for use in air sampling equipment such as pumps or sanitizers. A sorbent tube is another type of filter that is made of stainless steel or glass, and contains a chemical reagent in a layer of silica. The sampled air within the tube can be analyzed for levels of specific pollutants, chemicals, VOCs, SVOCs, and TICs.
