From the Manufacturer

Modo's all about modern simplicity, and there's an elegance to that.  But there's also something comforting in knowing you've chosen safety and style together.  It's all in the design.  It's all in Modo.

Product Description

A changing table on top and a dresser just below, the modern Modo 3 Drawer Changer Dresser is a space-saving nursery necessity. Smart and stylish, the sleek design of the Modo 3 Drawer Changer Dresser provides ample drawer storage space. Up top, the changing tray's raised sides help keep baby safe. Once baby has grown out of using the changer it can be removed to leave a chic dresser. The drawers smoothly and gently slide open thanks to metal glide hardware. Stop mechanisms on the drawers keep baby safe by ensuring drawers can't be pulled all the way out. The changer dresser also includes an anti-tip kit is included to further enhance safety by attaching the dresser to the wall. The Modo 3 Drawer Changer Dresser matches the modern Harlow, Modo and Mercer convertible cribs, and the portable Grayson Mini Crib.

Customer Questions & Answers

Customer Reviews

Appears to be a very good quality with easy assembly.

The bottom of the drawer never stays in the pre-cut ridges, the front of that drawer falls off, and we have to keep the cam screws put with gorilla tape.

I like the clean, modern look of this changing table.

Pro's:
-Quick Delivery (3days CA to AZ)
-Quick build time (45-60 mins)
-Easy instructions (requires basic handyman skills)
-No missing parts/hardware
-Great modern look, clean lines
-All holes for assembly line up, no drilling req'd
-Nice finish (exterior frame & drawer fronts)
-Fairly sturdy exterior frame

Con's:
-Standard packaging (heavy & boxes damaged on corners)
-Minor damage to furniture/finish (one corner of frame & one drawer front)
-Mediocre materials for drawer construction (sides & bottoms)
-Inexpensive drawer railing (does not glide very smooth)

Suggestions:
-Be patient, Take your time
-Have cordless drill, rubber mallet, screwdriver(phillips & flathead)
-Lay out all pieces to ensure all parts are in package

Summary:
Overall we are pleased with the quality & appearance of this piece of furniture. The finish of the exterior frame and drawer fronts is nice, smooth and clean. Our only hangup is the mediocre materials for the drawer assemblies. Inexpensive/lightweight wood for the sides & bottoms is used. If you are not careful you can overtighten the screws which will damage/split the wood.

In conclusion, this is a good buy, it looks great and is designed to last last a few years. We feel that pricing for this item should be a bit lower because of the mediocre drawer construction materials/hardware.
Suggested target price $285-$325

This piece looks nice in the picture and also in person. However the materials are low quality-- much lower than Ikea. The outer brown wood is soft and easily dents. The drawer sides and rear are close to balsa wood. While Ikea often uses soft woods and even cardboard within their construction, it's done in a layered way which is structurally sound. Not so here. I'm not expecting this furniture to last more than a couple of years.

Assembly takes a lot of time and extra care with force used on screws-- the slightest over-tightening will produce stripped holes and split wood.

The drawers have no dampening and close with a loud slap. Some creative use of adhesive felt solves the problem.

It's OK-- seems like it should cost under $150 given the quality.

We received this fairly quickly after ordering and there were no problems, such as missing parts or things. No chips or dents. My husband put it together within 30 minutes(he is a carpenter) Looks great. Only things I find fault with are the drawer bottoms are somewhat flimsy and the changer on top measures around 31 inches long and doesn't fit most standard changing pads(which are 32inches) I had to return one that we received as a gift, but easily found one the right size. Overall, pleased with the dresser.

We bought this dresser for our first child's nursery and LOVED how it looked with the matching crib in his modern nursery. Since we had a closet in the same room, it was enough space for all of the clothes and diapers he would need at one time. Much to my surprise, when my son was about 10 months old the top drawers started falling part - the cam kept slipping out and the front would fall off when I opened it. Soon, the cam screws splintered through the sides and we now have no top drawer. I am upset at the poor quality, and would not recommend this dresser to a friend.

This is the biggest waste of money! We bought this dresser as well as the 5 drawer dresser of the same style. After using these for less than 1 year the drawers are literally falling apart one at a time. Furthermore, there are screws that randomly fall out of the drawer mechanisms that I have found on the floor to my son's room. This is a huge safety hazard!! I cannot believe that amazon is selling crap like this at all let alone charging such exorbitant prices for this.

I know it's tempting - it has a nice modern design, and it's hundreds cheaper than the designer ones you've been admiring. Here's the thing, though - it's complete effing garbage. As many other reviewers have pointed out, it's made almost completely out of particle board. (I have two other pieces of furniture in my nursery from IKEA, and I consider both to be of much better quality than this.) The drawers make a wretched scraping sound when you open them, and the top one is visibly crooked - with seemingly no possible adjustments to correct the problem. Yeah, to most onlookers, it looks nice from across the room. Unfortunately, when *you* look at it from across the room, you'll probably just feel really disgusted about what you spent on it.

i bought the crib first and was impressed with the quality and easy instructions to assembly, now i'm very dissapointed with the dresser, it took many hours to put it together, the quality seems very cheap, i think only the front part of the drawers is wood, everything else is cardboard, it looks like it's going to fall apart, me and my husband are scared of even trying moving it. It's also heavy and overall i wouldn't recommend it, I think the crib is great and anyone can find a matching dresser elsewhere that has better quality!

We bought this dresser/changing table because we also bought the matching crib which we love, this item is good but not great. We've been using it for 7 months now and I will say that the unit itself is sturdy and I have no concerns about putting my daughter on it to change a diaper. Where I'm starting to be concerned is with the quality of the drawers and the sliders they operate on. Sometimes you have to jiggle the drawer a bit to get it to close and I feel like if you forced it you could break it. We weren't looking for furniture my daughter would have for life and it remains to be seen if we'll use this for baby #2.
