Is the battery user replaceable, and is RAM easily upgradeable?

No. And no. Sorry, but when you buy this product, you are actually buying an entirely closed system.

No, has to be done by apple, 129 for the change, ram is not upgradable

All components are sealed into the MacBook air; the battery cannot be replaced and no upgrades are possible. My advice to you is, if you can afford it, customise the laptop and buy it with all the upgrades you want.

No, almost everything is sealed and welded. You can only change parts in an authorized Apple Store.
