I got one of these lights about 3 years ago. I attached it to the desk next to my computer and positioned it so that it did not shine on the monitor, but lit up my paperwork. This light's been a real workhorse--I use it all day, every day. I put a curly fluorescent bulb in it, which is great because it gives good light and is cool compared to regular bulbs. I would recommend this lamp to anyone who works in an office or needs a reading/work light at home. It is especially good for older eyes (like me--over 50!)because it's adjustable.

This lamp is handy because it has a nice clamp which is what I needed. I'm using this lamp in a lab and wanted it to clamp to equipment. It works great.
