The list author says: "I swore off Sony after my brand new PS2 broke after 4 months. I stood in line for 10 hours at release, like a fool, bought the PS2 and a couple of games. When it stopped working 4 months later I called Sony only to be asked if I had ever turned the power off before ejecting the game, to which I replied that maybe I had (who knows?) So, Sony decided that the system was damaged by me and no repair or replacement would be available. In short, I was baited with a seemingly innocent question. So, needless to say, I was mad. I bought an XBOX. It still works to this day.
When the new systems came out I waited. I convinced myself that either Playstation or XBOX would be a good investment, despite the high price, provided the video formats survived. Really, I wanted an XBOX 360 because of my good experience with the original, but I kept hearing about the 360's failing. Practically everyone I know that had bought a 360 has had it break within the first year. But my bad experience with Sony way back when put me off the PS3.
Well, when Blu-Ray won the format war I realized there was only one choice for me. I bought a PS3 in March of '08 despite my disdain for Sony's customer service department. Man, I am glad I did. The PS3 has become the most used entertainment system I have ever bought.
If you like gaming and movies and are high definition ready... get a PS3. In addition to all the great DLC and Blu-Rays available, here are some of the games I have found worthy of purchase in no particular order. Enjoy!"
