"Kiss of the Spider Woman" is a sharply provocative tale of love, victimization, and fantasy, and of the friendship that develops between two strikingly different men imprisoned together in a Latin American jail.

Buena literatura y fácil de leer,
This review is from: El beso de la mujer araña (Paperback)

This book is entertaining enough for me to recommend reading it. Don't expect outstanding writing, but do take the time to read it (it doesn't take long). Molina is an endearing character, the movie subplots are interesting, and there are just enough changes in the story to keep you wondering. The footnotes do get annoying, but remember this was written in the 70s when they were necessary...plus, you really don't need to read them at all.

I used to be a little prejudiced, but after reading this book I decided to stop being judgamental. Everybody has a good reason for being a certain way.On the other hand, this book is magistrally written. It is easy to read and it is also very different, written in the format of a theatre play.Highly recommend it.
