No more hunting through your wallet or purse--now you can leave the card at home and use your phone to pay for purchases at Starbucks. My Coffee Card allows you to quickly and easily manage and track your Starbucks Cards and enables mobile payments right from your Android device.

Do the Java Jive

My Coffee Card is a Starbucks Card manager for Android that supports all of the features you'd expect from the official Starbucks Card Mobile app. Enter your Starbucks Card number to reload your card or to view your balance, rewards, and transaction history. You can also use the app to find the nearest Starbucks location and get specific directions provided by Google Maps.

Pay and Go

You can use My Coffee Card to pay for your order at any Starbucks retail store or licensed Target store by tapping the barcode button and scanning your screen. The balance is automatically debited from your Starbucks Card --it's incredibly quick and easy.

Widget, Extra Foam

For the real coffee addicted, you can place the My Coffee Card widget on your home screen. This allows you to check your card balance and rewards stars at a glance, which are updated automatically every time you use your card.

My Coffee Card is an independently developed, third-party application and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Starbucks Corporation. Starbucks and the Starbucks siren logo are registered trademarks of Starbucks Corporation.

  • Requires a reloadable Starbucks Card gift card or Gold Card

You get points for using your refillable card, resulting in free drinks. These are Starbucks reward points you can accrue. I prefer not carrying yet another card in my wallet, so this app saves my wallet a bit more space.

This is great for Starbucks regulars, and I highly recommend this to anyone who goes there frequently.

Keep track of your balance, points, and rewards. Refill on the go! Leave your card at home and still get the reward points by using the digital barcode on your phone. Can't get any better than this for the SBUX addict.

There is no need to dock stars for a well made app that you won't use. It tells you the function, shows screenshots, and there is nothing forcing you to download it. Thank you developers on making this app available and easy to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars great app! June 13, 2011
By Edwin
since starbucks doesn't feel that Android users are worthy of an official app I use this instead. not having seen the iPhone app, I can't really make any comparisons, but I can say that this is a great app, has everything I need. barcode feature works flawlessly. I honestly don't think Starbucks could improve on this.

5.0 out of 5 stars very well-made Coffee Card app June 13, 2011

I go to Starbucks very often & pay w/my SB card to earn free drinks. This app makes it more convenient because I can just scan & go. You can also find SB locations (filtered by places w/ wifi, mobile payment, drive-thru, etc.) and see transaction history right on the app. I like how the "Pro"version lets me manage more than 1 card.

EDIT: Please read the comments, the developer has graciously replied to this review in great detail and posted link to the security and privacy. I feel that the developer is using good practices with regards to safeguarding information and as a result, I'm revising my star rating.

The only reason I have never tried out a Starbucks app for Android is because I've always been wary of entering my Starbucks account info into an app, since my Starbucks account also has banking info tied to it. Starbucks is a large company with a huge IT organization that (by all estimations) has the ability to safeguard my info. Nothing against AppsByBirbeck, but how do we know our information is just as safe?

I do not know what AppsByBirbeck does with the login info (Lastpass tells me I'm logging in to ""), and I do not know what precautions are taken to prevent hackers from stealing that information (EDIT: The Privacy Policy addresses this). The good news is that this app does not have a way to access credit cards stored in your Starbucks account...The bad news is that you have to enter your credit card information directly into the app in order to reload. At that rate, I'd rather just log onto the Starbucks website with my phone's browser and reload from there; It's more convenient and I feel it's safer this way (EDIT: This is a personal opinion, not a criticism of MCCP).

The app is still very usable without entering your Starbucks login info, just enter the card number and security code, and you have a working replica of the plastic card in your wallet! Better still, the barcode screen can be PIN-Enabled to protect against someone using your phone to make unauthorized purchases. My barista had no problem scanning the barcode on my phone. Brilliant! Futuristic!

barcode works to scan and the reloading has worked but transaction history won't work and developer never responded. The only thing this is good for is scanning at the register.

Where is the support and updates for this app? There are noticeable problems that are going unresolved. Its a good app that needs some support. Don't bail on us!

5.0 out of 5 stars Where's the love people? June 13, 2011
By Miriam.
This is not an app for everyone, but considering how many Starbuck coffee shops there are, and how many people frequent them daily, (sometimes more than once!), its definitely got its audience out there. What's the benefit you ask? Well Starbucks tracks you as a customer and gains valuable marketing information when they identify your buying patterns, hence the points program. You as the consumer get free coffee by accumulating points for your money spent, and free coffee for things like your birthday etc.
Starbucks also identifies customers to survey and include in research by the buying habits they see in relation to your membership numbers, which equates to free coffee too.
No, not all of us need this app, nor do many of us care about Starbucks points, but for those who do, this is a great app. It's well made, is presented well, and functions as expected, and is free.
So, it's not for you? Why not just move on? No need to put down an app just because it doesn't appeal to you. And one star? I suggest what you're really doing is not allowing yourself to recognize the value inherent in good programming.
Have a good day fellow app-ers. Tomorrow brings a new day. And with it, a new free app.

5.0 out of 5 stars share rewards June 13, 2011

this app is great because my wife and I can share rewards now even if we are not together. Starbucks doesn't let you link accounts and this is a great way around that
