I had the fabulous opportunity to study with Victor at Berklee College of Music's "Berklee in Los Angeles" summer program (2000). Victor's mastery of the vibraphone is impressive, with piercing attacks and an agressive command of the instrument highlighting the album. The band behind him also plays the hell out of his compositions, with innovative soloing and SOLID time. Check it out-Upon listening, I got up off my feet, grabbed a partner, and danced the salsa. This CD is a must for fans of latin jazz and the vibes.
