serious lag issue with black ops. it was not an issue in the past, but recently, well just couple days ago, i experienced huge lag, when i started to play black ops (after played mw3 for months). my connection is not that slow, because it is comcast. it works fine in mw2 and mw3. the lag is so huge issue in black ops, what happened??? wonder if black ops II gonna lag same way???

Ted Riggs says:
I don't experience lag in Black Ops, so your connection isn't very good.

Dusty Rhodes says:
lag has nothing to do with the software... it's either your personal connection or the connection to the host that is causing lag.

Saikron says:
That's nowhere near true. Not only can software contribute to lag by doing things inefficiently, but bad software can make the same amount of latency more difficult to play with.

well one of the Black ops 2 people already tweeted that it would have it's own dedicated servers... so that will be a large help in the connection/lag department.

Lag is a NETWORKING issue it has nothing to do with the game. That so called "lag compensation" is a red herring created so that the developers can avoid telling morons who play games online and have no idea what is actually going on technically that they just don't have a clue about network engineering. The ways that users connect to the gaming servers is as numerous as their are players. NO ONE can design tolerances in such a way as to provide a level playing field to all users. Those of you who complain about lag just do not understand networking.
