did you ever get your blue ray to work? at least you got a message with yours. i rented twice and purchased one. none of them would play but the dvd version would. i rented and have many and i do mean many blue rays and no problems with any of them. my blue ray player is up to date.

hi don/santa fe..............i have an older insigina player which wolverine bluray does not work on as i said...........getting your message reminded me to try my other bluray player.....and it does work. that bluray player is also an insigina but, it is a 3d one newer but, i got it off ebay rebuilt and a lot cheaper. so i guess i'll try to install the updates to my old one and see if it works...........i'll let you know........hopefully sooner than later..................thanks for the reply have a good day.

hello mr. chuck! thanks for your reply. the player i have is a new one, but not a 3d player. i can update it by remote and did after i couldn't play the blue ray disc and it still wouldn't play. the thing with mine, and it has happened with two other movies, is it plays the start of the movie, like the studios logo(roaring lion) and then just stops. no pic, no wording, no messages, nothing. one movie, i went through 5 disks before i got one that would work. i just didn't want to go through that again. even at the rental store in my area said they hadn't heard any other complaints about my problem. when i saw your review, it was nice to know i wasn't alone. not that i'm glad your having problems to but... LOL!! anyway, please let me know what you find out. i even sent an e-mail to makers of the movie but of course i never heard back. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS!!!!!

hi again don/santa fe..........well i got my player in 2010.......and not to long after i got an update but, never instaled it, been sitting on the book shelf for the last 3 years. so i just installed it and belive it or not it works just fine..........i was however going to call best buy if it didn't work after all its there product. so the update this case anyway. and by the way the cheap 3d player from ebay works good so for a cheap price i was able to try the player since i was able to get a good price on a 3d set...........and i will never know what people see in 3d i found it dark and i hear that there starting to cut back on the 3d for home use...........something tells me people who invested a good deal of money are going to be really upset.........IF ITS TRUE. so if i were you i would give best buy a call, of if your there talk to a sales person. i like my player and i know people with bluray players that cost more than mine that are not impressed. i still can't even guess why yours does not work with the update.............or why i was able to get away with it all this time without the update in the first place. do let me know what happens with your player......MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
