did you ever get your blue ray to work? at least you got a message with yours. i rented twice and purchased one. none of them would play but the dvd version would. i rented and have many and i do mean many blue rays and no problems with any of them. my blue ray player is up to date.

hello mr. chuck! thanks for your reply. the player i have is a new one, but not a 3d player. i can update it by remote and did after i couldn't play the blue ray disc and it still wouldn't play. the thing with mine, and it has happened with two other movies, is it plays the start of the movie, like the studios logo(roaring lion) and then just stops. no pic, no wording, no messages, nothing. one movie, i went through 5 disks before i got one that would work. i just didn't want to go through that again. even at the rental store in my area said they hadn't heard any other complaints about my problem. when i saw your review, it was nice to know i wasn't alone. not that i'm glad your having problems to but... LOL!! anyway, please let me know what you find out. i even sent an e-mail to makers of the movie but of course i never heard back. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS!!!!!
