This is a book of techniques of magick that Spare created largely through automatic drawing. Many of the core ideas, such as sigilization, the creation of a personal alphabet of sacred latters (more commonly known as an alphabet of desire), and of the achievement of a state of gnostic vacuity (the neither-neither) were later interpreted by authors such as Peter Carroll, Stephen Mace, and Ramsey Dukes into what has become known as Chaos Magic. This is a foundational work in modern occult literature, and deserves a place in the collection of any serious student or practitioner of magick.
