I heard Ronnie Robbins play live in a small venue last year and instantly loved his original music, his precise guitar playing, and his innovative vocal stylings. This CD has an intriguing blend of samba- and bossa nova-influenced songs with Ronnie's creative lyrics and "Portutease" scat-style vocals. The CD features an appealing blend of upbeat tunes and ballads, with Ronnie's smooth guitar accompanied by bass, percussion, flute, and a variety of other well-played instruments. Ronnie's vocals are sometimes reminiscent of Sting and Michael Franks, along with his own unique sound. I thoroughly enjoy this CD and recommend it highly to anyone who enjoys Brazilian music. Ronnie's also a great guitar teacher!

We think everyone should own this CD. It's a meaningful addition to anyone's music collection.
We've been fortunate to know Ronnie personally, he is a true musician-true to his music. The songs on this CD reflect who he is and his experiences with life. Can't wait to hear and purchase his second CD!!

I can't believe that this album is four years old. I bought it after hearing it played in the background of a music store. I continually return to lisen to it. Four years. I'll probably listen to it for another four years. And four more years.
Four more years for Bossamba!
