Does this come with a built-in CD-DVD drive that I can use to install software on this, or will I need the Superdrive?

It does not come with a CD-DVD drive. The operating system comes on a USB drive. You only need the Superdrive if you have no other way to read a CD/DVD; if you have a desktop that will continue to be in service, you can share that drive to the MBP and install software that way.

Because this Macbook is so thin, there is no CD-DVD drive. The way tech is heading, most companies are scratching that off, you can download any software from the web and apple store, but in case you would need the superdrive.

You won't need the SuperDrive. This unit does not come with an optical reader.
