Color: Big Smoke
I bought about 7 of these polishes for my granddaughters for Christmas. I chose this brand mainly because they are free of several toxic chemicals. When I received them. the colors were so beautiful I gave one set early so we could try them. First off they flow on, and cover really well with the first coat. They have a great applicator brush. The black is gorgeous. You would think black is black, but it is not. This black is deep, but not too shiny. One coat covered totally and had depth. Dried quick, then the second coat dries hard. These polishes are amazing. The chipping is minimal after 4 days. There is not the odor, or the chemicals to ruin the nails. The color Tramp Stamp is the most unusual brown. I can guarantee you will find this color no where else. It is a deep mocha, but has a slight raisin cast to it. One of my favorites is The Full Monty, it is a metalic gold. But not the glittery gold most are. It is gorgeous. I used it on my toes with gold rhinestones on the base of nail. I have an order in for myself. They are not cheap, but they are non toxic, hard wearing, gorgeous polishes made in the USA. Try one..you'll be back I am sure.

Color: Fairy Lights
I have twenty different Butter London colors. I love some more than others. Fairy Lights is a nice foil pinkish color. As for the other reviewer she did hit the nail on the head. All BL's colors must be worn with a top coat. They don't have all the toxic stuff in it (They are called 3Free). The bad chemicals that give nail polish its smell also is what makes it hard. So by not having this stuff you need to use something to give it that hardness. I personally use Butter London's Top Coat and Foundation.

This color with one base coat, two coats of color, and a top coat lasts about a week (on my hands). I have had other colors that last longer and when I put color on my toe nails they tend to last a whole month.

Color: British Racing Green
Let's just start off by making a few things clear..

One, I love this color(!). It's a little pine-ish with just a hint of micro-glitter! Google image "British racing green" and the first image will come up with the smackdab color.
Two, Its 3 Free! (Formaldehyde, and some other things...)
Three, The cute packaging!
Four, I love that I didn't have to pay a whooping $14 for .4 ounces of product!(Sale at Ulta)
Five, It dries OH SO FAST!
Six, None of that terrible dried nail polish scent. (HUGE PLUS, who likes walking around smelling like a chem lab??!)

Now, to address the drying...It doesn't dry so fast that you're left with horrible sludge marks as you try to drag that brush across a half dried-half wet nonsense. No, you can easily (and prettily) finish one coat, wait five minutes, apply the second coast, one more fiver annd you're done! No sheet marks if this is a right before bed venture. I've only had it on one day, so I can't attest to the staying power of the product(hasn't chipped yet)...

I also suggest a top coat for the I-just-applied-this look. It's a bit matte on its lonesome.

Color: British Racing Green Verified Purchase
I am a nail polish fanatic, and so I thought I would get adventurous and try the beautiful color selection that butter LONDON offers. The British Racing Green is absolutely beautiful, I get compliments on it all the time. However, the polish chips/peels within one or two days. Normally, my own manicures last a week. If I go to a salon, it's usually 10 days without any chipping. I've never had issues with polish peeling the next day except for with butter LONDON.

I'm really sad to give it a poor review. But I just think that for the money (and I bought it on Amazon! Imagine if I'd paid full price!), people who really care about long-lasting nail polish would have better luck with Essie or OPI. If you just need it for a day and want a fun color, this is fine. Otherwise, I'd go with a cheaper option that lasts longer.

Color: Fairy Lights Verified Purchase
My first bottle of butter LONDON nail polish is a gorgeous mauve-pink shade with pearlescent/metallic overtones. The bottle wouldn't open until I saw that it was sealed with a special sticker and you have to pull off the cute rectangular top to get at the real top that unscrews to reveal the brush. Clever! Also no leaks.

The polish goes on like the name states, like butter. I used O.P.I. Natural Nail Base Coat, then two coats of the polish, topped off by O.P.I. Rapid Dry Top Coat. Because the butter LONDON polish self-levels very nicely, a rather quickly-done manicure looks like a much more professional job. The long, specially shaped brush for the polish worked really well to apply it.

I definitely will be trying more shades of butter London!

Color: Fiver
Butter London is a very nice polish. Two coats plus a top coat produces beautiful streak-free coverage, and it dries quite quickly.

I bought the color "Fiver" expecting mint green, but it's much closer to robin's egg blue. Not very minty at all. I still love the color, but I'm going to have to keep searching for that perfect pale mint green.

Color: Dodgy Barnett
I purchased Dodgy Barnett and it is a beautiful sheer holographic polish. I applied two coats and it is not completely opaque, just can just slightly see the nail line underneath. However, I'm perfectly fine with the polish being slightly sheerer because it is complimented well by the delicate holographic shimmers in the polish. If you really wanted an opaque finish you can apply a silver polish underneath and use this as a finishing topcoat.
I had average wear time with this, I have minor/average chipping on my fourth day of wear, and that's without a top coat. Overall if you're a fan of holographic shimmer, I would invest in Dodgy Barnett
