5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE BUTTER! October 29, 2010
Color Name:Yummy Mummy
I had been eying this stuff for a while. At $14 (not including tax) a pop for only .4 fluid ounces, it is NOT cheap nail polish. But ladies, if you ever want to splurge on a nail color, THIS STUFF IS WORTH IT! Not only are the colors fashionable and unique (REALLY), but I can tell they're 3-free from the moment I put on the first coat. The smell is not as strong. Also, when I remove the polish, my nails don't feel dry and brittle. I can't say that this polish makes your nails MORE healthy, but they definitely seem to relieve nails from typical polish damage. WORTH IT. And have I mentioned the colors? I have three: Chimney Sweep, Marrow, and Yummy Mummy. I've only worn Chimney Sweep and Marrow, but I love them both. Fashionable but classy. Nothing too over the top that is on the edge of ridiculous. Yummy Mummy is a neutral. I'm sure I'll love it. So, if you've got some money to spare, find your favorite Butter color and BUY it! You'll fall in love . . . and you'll find yourself stashing some money to spend on this stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars My go-to pink sheer (all class!) March 16, 2012
Color Name:Pink Ribbon|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is the most beautiful subtile shade of sheer pink in my collection. I wish I could buy it in bulk! One coat is pretty much clear, but the pink acts like a foundation correcting imperfections in your nails (fine cracks, uneven color) two coats is the perfect sheer pink look: you can still see the white nail tip, under the milky frosting of pink, it's very shiny no need for a top coat!

What I like to do best, however is use a chunky pink glitter polish first, then layer this sheer pink on top, the result is a more grown-up take on sparkle nails! The glitter is muted by the sheer pink, but still visible, it's a perfect way to pull of glitter nails at work without looking juvenile.

I think this color is flattering for all skin-types. I have medium (think barack obama) warm brown skin, but it could be very cute on both darker and lighter tones.

As most people with skin darker than olive are aware, we need to avoid orange when choosing pinks-- no worries here, it's a very balanced shade.

Lastly, it's fairly easy to apply... as long as you stick to one or two coats the dry time is fast. For three coats do two in one sitting, then the next day add the third... it will be less hassle to dry and you'll get an extra day or two out of the manicure.

Super clean nails are a must to pull this look off, even the slightest tiny bit of dirt ruins it. I carry a small scrub brush in my purse when rocking sheer polish.

I stopped painting my nails when I was pregnant with my son because I was worried about all of the chemicals inside of it. Now, my son is 2 years old and this is the first nail polish I have purchased in years. My husband was even standing behind me when I was painting them and commented that the smell wasn't bad at all. The house didn't stink afterwards, and while there is a noticeable smell while you're painting with it (all paints do) it doesn't burn my eyes or anything. I'm very happy with the color, its a very dark grey that shimmers with different colors in the light. Two coats went on well, dried fairly quickly, and covered completely. Overall I'm VERY satisfied with this!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not for every skin type March 2, 2011
Color Name:Tea With The Queen|Amazon Verified Purchase
BEWARE, Yummy Mummy is not a good neutral for every skin type. (with my fair/med pinkish skin tone - really ugly) I ended up giving it to a friend who has very yellow undertones in her Italian skin. A much better fit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this shade, snog September 25, 2012
Color Name:Snog
The butter London brand lacquer has turned me into such a polish snob. I can tell a huge difference in this brand of polish from the cheaper department store/drug store brands. I love this shade of pink, it's not hot pink but not a baby pink either.

4.0 out of 5 stars New "green" polish August 12, 2012

All the butter colors are yummy. Just be sure when you purchase you are aware that some of the colors are sheer...more like a glaze. I found that out the hard way! This color is not sheer. I don't find that this polish stays on any better than the run of the mill polish for 1/2 the price. I'd say if you can't find the color elsewhere go for it. BTW the rectangular top comes off and you have a regular top to hold to apply.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as I had hoped
This nail polish is not better than other nail polishes. It chipped within the first day and requires multiple coats to reach full color pleasantness. And it's more expensive. Meh.

Love this as a neutral. Works well with the Butter base and top coat. Seems to last well, but I haven't used it without the base and topcoat. My pedi got 2 weeks.
