can i use my fire charger on the paperwhite

No, Samuel; you need the special plug specifically designed for the Fire - which should come with it (I forget if mine did) but if not, it's pretty affordable. It pulls more juice and is a faster processing item, so the regular plug will make your Fire less effective and not nearly as cool.

Although I am a retired Electrician, this is our first experience with any Kindle model. I have no way of comparing specifications between the models as regards the charger. Maybe you could Google the different models and find some comparison specs. Sorry I couldn't help.

No, it only works on the regular Kindle readers, like the Kindle, Kindle 3G with WiFi and the Kindle Paperwhite.
