A Great Chai!!!,
By MT (Florida- United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 2 canisters of Tiger Spice Chai, 14oz. (Misc.)
I think that this is a great Chai! Far from sweet.. I found it very unsweet (and that is exactly why I like it). The Tiger Spice is a great blend of Black Tea, Cinnamon, Ginger, herbs, and more. I was not a big tea drinker (until now) but this is a very smooth and light Chai. All you do is add water and it comes out creamy and perfect (some people add milk but this Chai mix already has a creamer in it). This is my new healthy breakfast wake me up. It is great. I have many Indian friends with whom I drink freshly made Chai with and this is as close as you can come with an instant blend. I highly recommend this.

My husband and I frequent a local cafe where they make the most fabulous tasting Tiger Chai's. However, they are incredibly tight lipped about their secret powder. I've scoured the internet, purchased everything from Oregon Chai (liquid is decent, but the powder is better), Pacific Chai (better than Oregon), and the ultimate that blows away the competition, David Rio's Tiger Spice Chai. It's what I consider to be just about as good as what the cafe serves - rich, frothy and not too sweet. It's best mixed with milk or milk substitute instead of water. David Rio's Elephant Vanilla Chai is also good for sweet tooths. Enjoy!

A friend of mine got me hooked on Tiger Chai while visiting her this summer. I always ordered them "iced" which means that they pour it over ice and milk. It was SOOO good that way. It has a ginger bread cookie kind of taste that I just got addicted to.

Nuff said. I love tiger spice. They use it at saxbys. Add milk, water, anything you like... even make it dirty with a shot of espresso. Woof, amazing.

And I've had a lot of Chai. This is so good, a perfect mixture of spices, a creamy taste and smell. Honestly, I just sit there sometimes and take a whif and and taken away into a delicious heaven. A must have if you are a chai lover!

I'm an avid tea drinker, and this Chai works great as breakfast. Mix it with 1/2 cup of milk and hot water, Voila!

This Chai is very good, but paying [...] for 2 cans (including shipping) is just too much. Great product, just too expensive.

I discovered Tiger Chai a few years back at a little cafe, and have been enamoured with it's flavour ever since. It's a bit of a far cry from either homemade chai or the more common instant ones (Morning Glory or Oregon), but it's really quite addicting. I have to be careful not to drink more than 2 or 3 cups once I get started!
The only drawback with this powder is the inclusion of the nasty, super-processed instant creamer. They don't put enough of it in the mix to really make the product creamy at all - you have to still mix it with whole milk to really make it into chai. However, you can still taste the awful artificial stuff. It would be so nice to get a version without the instant creamer - you could add some milk and this would qualify for being hands-down the best instant chai on the market. Mixed with milk, it's still very good, but I don't recommend using just hot water.

Tiger Spice Chai,

It's rich and creamy, sweet but not overly or sickly sweet. I've tried it hot and cold, both ways were delicious. It's like drinking dessert and tastes like a gingerbread cookie. If you enjoy sweet chai tea you should certainly try it!
