Debut Album is Excellent, February 15, 2008

Lucinda Black Bear is the workings of a group pioneered by Christian Gibbs. Their debut album is beautifully done with whimsical melodies spun from atypical instruments such as the cello and violin along with acoustic and electric guitars and the piano. The songs are melancholic and are easy listening. The opening track, "Kites" is very easy to listen too. The tracks "All She Wanted" and "Noon Day Sun" sound like something you would hear from a Beatles album. The track, "Winterland", "You Got It Blue" sounds very similar to Neil Young. I would highly recommend this album to people who enjoy Neil Young, the Beatles, and even the Flaming Lips. I am looking forward to future albums.
