Will it play 16 gb sd cards? Also my files are wav format.

I'm using it with a 32 GB sd card, so I assume 16 GB cards will work. It plays MP3 and WMA files, if that is what you mean. I don't think it will play WAV files, but it has an aux in port, so you can connect a CD player, ipod, laptop, or any other type of player to it. I'm quite happy with it, it was very inexpensive and works great.

I don't think the capacity of the SD card matters. I've never played wav format on this, only mp3, so I wouldn't know that. Sorry

Yes, it will take cards up to 64GB I believe. I know it reads WMA and MP3 files, I don't see how WAV's would not be able to work, why not give it a try?
