From the supplier: Speakers at the 1996 International Association of Special Investigation Units convention in Tucson, AZ, warned of the extensive fraudulent claims which follow natural disasters. Many of the claims submitted after Hurricane Andrew struck Florida in 1992 were fraudulent. The circumstances created by a natural disaster that encourage fraud include an enormous volume of claims and pressure to settle claims quickly. Insurance companies with established disaster plans can include plans to reduce fraud.
