Cristina Carlino has done it again. - This is a unique and wonderful journal

For many years I have read the wonderful poems of Cristina Carlino on the bottles of some of the most beloved skincare products in the world and loved them all. Now in this interactive journal her poetic and spot on insights into her experience and gratitude for being the mother of her little girl are so moving, genuine and pull me in. This is her book and MY book. This book asks beautiful, thought-filled questions to prompt moms interaction. I had never seen anything like it and it really caught my eye. I've bought baby's first year books for new moms in the past - but this is the first I've seen that asks a mom to first remember HER first years as a mom of a little girl in her first precious years. Then later on her little girl can read and treasure this book. Learn more about her mother and herself. I wish I had had a book like this from my own mother. It may have answered many questions about her and me today and been on my bedside table always. The designs of the book are like the text itself - very inviting, fun, great pastels and special. Cristina takes you through different rooms of a house - and how they may change, and YOU change each day as you are watching your child grow and you are growing together. Truly beautiful, completely original. I am buying a few for new moms and my "old" girlfriends to give to their "older moms" to write in. I especially appreciate that all of the net proceeds are being given away to The Joyful Heart Foundation. This is a win-win-win book. Boy's version, next?

This totally charming and completely original baby book is a guided journal and a love letter to your daughter, someday. Cristina Carlino leads the reader through her own first years as the mother of a daughter and shares her joy and wonder at how one small life can bring such big changes to your own life. At the same ...time, she offers creative prompts and space for the reader to write about their own experience during these first precious years. Beautifully illustrated and beautiful written. I highly recommend it as the perfect gift to new mothers.
