I purchased one, with hopes of it charging my Kindle Fire, while in use or when turned off. Negative (for me, with the unit I bought).

If someone finds a powered hub that does, please pass the info on.

The hub works fine. I needed an extra powered hub anyway.

USB spec is 500mA per port... simply not sufficient for a tablet. use a charger
