I don't have that device, but I do know quite a bit about cars, and I have a lot of charging devices for cars. They work on both my 2009 Honda CRV and on my 1999 Ford Escort. I think the real question you may be asking is, "Is my car recent enough that the lighter carries a stable enough current to support the Kindle charger?" If you are using the lighter for your phone recharger, MP3 recharger, or a similar device and it works well, then you should have no difficulty. If this is not the case, may I suggest considering replacing the lighter? If you love your old car the way I love my Escort, then it is worth it. A reliable and honest mechanic should charge you about $35 to $50 for the job.
It fits in my 2002 Merc Sable and in our 2006 Liberty. Just remember that this is a 2-piece and 1/2 will stay in and you must have strong fingernails to remove it from the cigarette lighter. I've got a dual plug in for the Liberty, and it is a bit easier to remove from that.
