I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for a series of books like William Maltese provides in his one-hand read series. There used to be more of this kind of hot-and-heavy erotica writing (I'm talking in the good old days of Greenleaf Classics), but they've since become few and far between. Too many of the books, on today's market, are verbose, long-winded tales of angst-riddeen relationships existing within convoluted plot-lines, that come across anything but fun and/or sexy. Maltese definitely in-the-know as regards what IS fun and sexy, titillating, and hot, Hot, HOT!

If I thought his one-hand read series lead book, A CONSPIRACY OF RAVENS, was the erotic novel of the year (and I did), Maltese has proven with circuSex that he has -- thank our lucky stars! -- more than just that one book to excite and arouse his growing number of fans; fans who've been awaiting for a very, very long time for just this kind of attractively packaged return to "cheap" thrills.

If I've been a long-time fan of Maltese's short-stories a la his classic one-author collections like CALIFORNIA CREAMIN' and SUMMER SWEAT... If I've long been a fan of his novels, like SS MANN HUNT and WHEN SUMMER COMES... If I've even come to enjoy his more literary Stud Draqual Mystery Series (A SLIP TO DIE FOR and THAI DIED)... I remain an erotica afficionado, first and foremost, and in that regard Maltese and his one-hand read series, cicuSex included, has come up spades (or whatever).

Erotica just doesn't get any better than this!

One thing of which William Maltese can't be accused, in this, the second book of his erotica one-hand read series, is false advertising. As in the series lead book, A CONSPIRACY OF RAVENS, the author delivers just as promised, and then some: pages chock-a-block with the kind of non-stop erotic marathons reminiscent of the golden by-gone days of Greenleaf Classics and Olympia Press. Maltese, in fact, rumored to have cut his teeth in the genre as a member of the Greenleaf writing stable, mass-producing titles like MANEATERS OF MALIBU, BONDAGE BOY, and STRUNG AND HUNG on his one-man assembly line.

There's the accompanying less-likely rumor that Maltese actually put in some time with a circus to get the background information for his one. If he didn't, he still manages to come up with a realistically circus-like atmosphere; the big top presenting this genuinely talented and skillful author with an ideal venue for some of his genuinely hot-as-usual writing.

Admittedly jaded, I, nevertheless, have never done "it" on a camel, on a high-trapeze platform, nor with the tattooed man; so, I remain highly impressed with Maltese's ability to provide me titillating insight into areas I've not personally visited before (and won't likely get a chance to visit on my own).

And while the book's scant 112 pages might seem short (actually, it's longer than its CONSPIRACY predecessor), there's more than enough wordage on board to provide any erotica afficionado with hours and hours and hours of pleasurable reading.

This book a genuine keeper for anyone who has a clue as to what defines truly magnificent erotic writing.

The book got here days before I thought it would, and is in great condition. Thanks a bunch !
