Standard speaker cable wire sold at any box store chain or a Radio Shack type store will work. Try to match up the gauge by bringing a piece in with you and ask for heat shrink connectors or the crimp type connectors to extend the length. Use the provided connections to the speakers. There are holes in the back of the speakers to connect them to a stand. I simply use a plaster screw by pre drilling a small hole, inserting a locking pin to hold the screw in the dry wall and hung the speakers from the screws. They have held and no vibration or movement.

I was told by Panasonic that adding or splicing on to the speaker wires will damage the speakers and void the warranty.
