I only first heard of this new book, by Ward, from Amazon recommendations list, so does anyone know anything about it? Would this be a new series similar to the BDB, and instead of "vampires", the series is about Fallen Angels? Perhaps, a spinoff series from the BDB, or something else? I hate waiting, and so the "unknown" is just killing me!! Any help of thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
i think it's something totally different from BDB series. i'm curious of what it is too! try looking on the JR Ward forum. maybe something is there? if you find anything be sure to post it here! i'm dying to know too!
Anyone know how many more books there are going to be for BDB? I heard the cut of was 3 more books! I HOPE NOT! I want Blay's and Q's story too!
Any info would be great. I found this thru amazon rec's too. I looked on the warden's web site. I didn't find anything mentioned. But I go there so infrequently, I find it hard to navigate. I remember that they did call Lassiter a "fallen angel", in Phury's book. Wonder if thats the connection?
Dragon Lover, I wish there was more info about this new series, since you are able to preorder this already at Amazon. Glad to know that I'm not the only one "dying" to know! Are you counting the upcoming, "Lover Avenged", as part of the 3 more books? I'm with you, I can't seem to get enough of that series, and I'd hate to see it come to an end. There are a lot of "loose ends" that needs their own story!
I somehow forgot about Lassiter. That would seem possible, I guess. If Ward could do the same for the Fallen Angels, as she has for the BDB, then it would have to be interesting!
M. Childers, You would think that some mention of this series would be on Ward's own website, so why all the secrecy?? You'd think that she would want to generate a lot of interest, wouldn't you? Especially, if she's banking on her huge BDB following. I know I'm interested, but I would like some tidbit about it. I'd be happy if someone could just throw out a bone! LOL!!!
I know it's a bit early, but all I have to look forward to, so far, is just a "title". I'm just excited that it won't be a hardcover! LOL!!
I am an avid BDB reader. Covent is a new series of angles, Im not sure if it starts with Lassiter but I do believe he will have a book. There has been no mention of there being a cut off of the BDB series, at least from what Ive read on the forum. We do know of the next two though after Rehv, JM and Xhex and Tohrments books, but I think Blay books and Quinns book will soon follow (im not suggesting that they are together, just saying their books) Hope I was of some help
JM and Xhex are next after Rehv, but I do not think she has mentioned who is next after that... of the original series she planned she still needs Payne and Tohrment... but has hinted that she's will do to more...
Hey I was curious if anyone can fill me in what I missed about Darius. I understood that the Scribe Virgin is letting him come back but he wouldn't know Beth. Did I miss something? Any help will be appreciated! :)
Darius has been reincarnated as John Matthew. The SV allowed him to come back but told him he would have to give up a faculty. This is why John Matthew cannot speak. This is also why he has seizures occasionally when he sees Beth. I hope this helps.
I've only been able to find bits and pieces about the new series. There are supposed to be seven books (one for each deadly sin), and Lhassiter does indeed kick it off. A quote from R.J. Ward on the series:
"JR: The new series is in paperback out October 2009! COVET: A Novel of the Fallen Angels is the first of the books and let's just say it's all about angels and Harleys and evil and redemption. The tag line's Destiny's a witch and then you die... but love always brings you back.
JR: Angels on Harleys! Angels on Harleys! And each one gets a book. I'm really pumped to start them, I think they're great although I'll still be doing the brothers as well of course- like Wrath would have it otherwise?! LOL
JR: I have most of it mapped out at this time, there is a finite amount of books but then again there was with the Brothers two so yeah, we'll just see about that! So far as I'm aware, the hero of the whole series is a guy named Jim Crane who's a carpenter and it's all about him going up against the devil (who's a very hot brunette, btw) with the help of his two partners, a scruffy dog and his bad attitude. There are other heros who come in along the way and there is a love story in every book. Things may change as I get into the writing, but the bare bones are set and I can't wait to get started!"
oh no! Another series I'm going to have to buy.... and its about Angels too!!!!! Someone must know I have a fasination with Superntural on the telly and the hunky actor that plays castiel. i think i may have to pre order this baby!!!
Here's the blog for this book that is currently used in the publisher's catalogue:
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Black Dagger Brotherhood novels... First book in a spellbinding new series of mortal sin- and immortal love
Redemption isn't a word Jim Heron knows much about- his specialty is revenge, and to him, sin is all relative. But everything changes when he becomes a fallen angel and is charged with saving the souls of seven people from the seven deadly sins. And failure is not an option. Vin diPietro long ago sold his soul to his business, and he's good with that-until fate intervenes in the form of a tough-talking, Harley-riding, self-professed savior. But then he meets a woman who will make him question his destiny, his sanity, and his heart-and he has to work with a fallen angel to win her over and redeem his own soul. *** By the way, Ward has revealed that the heroine of Covet is Marie-Thérèse, one of the ZeroSum prostitutes that we saw in Lover Avenged.
That's interesting. I'll pay closer attention when I come across her name. I can't help but wonder why Ward isn't coming out with the hardcover for this new series, especially with her name recognition, and all. Also, it appears that Ward will be writing a few more BDB books, while writing this new series. Amazing!!
I know she probably needs a break from BDB and as much as i am curious about a new series, I want JM and Xhex!! and then Quinn for sure, and Blay...theres so much to do with them! I would also be totally interested in Payne, as I've only remembered mention of him...a comeback maybe?
in a recent chat JR Ward said we will see cameo appearances from some of the characters from the BDB books in the new covent books. She also said the number of BDB books are open ended, originally it was to be 10 books, but now she said she will keep writing them as long as readers keeps reading them and the brother keep "talking" to her. WOO HOO !!!!
