I've used this router with Cox, I don't know why it wouldn't work with any cable setup.

if u have the combined router modem.. used the combined one... if ur using this router with a comcast modem.. this router is amazing.. it downloads really fast

i have Comcast and it works great best one yet. This is router not the modem. but for wireless i think it is the best one

Well no.1 I don't like Comcast but yes it's a great replacement and a lot more user friendly. Don't let the user friendliness fool you it is very robust and secure just not intimidating. No.2 you can either run it behind the Comcast router as an access point or in front of it and let the Comcast router be the a/p.

It is a router, not a modem, so it does not replace the Comcast modem. If you have Comcast's combination modem/router, you will have to set up the Comcast router to "bridge" mode.
