I am running it on Windows 8. I never tried it on Windows 7 so I can't compare the two, but I have had no problems at all.

Adobe always keeps their software up to date. You need a powerful computer to actually use it. I would recommend an I5 at least with at least 8gb ram - 16 is better. Use dual channel, 64 bit and pro 64 bit OS (windows 8) if you are really going to use it.I run Windows 7 64 on a quad core and it works perfectly. SDD drive helps as well. IE - it takes a lot of computing power and a fast computer to work well.
