My TV only has two HDMI inputs and component audio and video inputs but no outputs. If I get the Sony SS-B3000 Bookshelf Speakers, is this an ideal amplifier, and how would I hook this up to my TV? Update: I returned my TV and got an older model that had a digital optical output. Also got a higher-end receiver.

Check the TV more carefully in the back see if one of the analogue ports red/white is an OUTPUT rather than an input, they could be output right next to input.

The receiver itself does not have HDMI. HDMI also only carries digital audio out. Which this receiver does not support either.

Sorry, I can't help with this request. I haven't had a TV without component audio outputs for at least 20 years, so I'm not sure how I would connect yours to an audio amp.

This is a good stereo receiver but without any audio outputs on your TV, the receiver will do you no good. Also, since it is only stereo (2 channels) it will do you no good for a surround sound system (5.1 or 7.1).
