Super comfortable and not too croc-like, August 30, 2010
This review is from: crocs Men's Crostrail Clog (Apparel)
I have long resisted the lure of the crocs. However, last summer my mother bought me some imitation crocs at the beach for a couple of dollars. They were amazingly comfortable; everyone told me that crocs were even more so. In addition, my mother--the same mother--gave my wife a pair of crocs in 2006 that she still wears daily around the house. This combination of comfort and long life made me cave and finally purchase a pair of crocs. Because of philosophical (read vanity) objections to the design of the traditional croc, I opted for the most uncroclike shoe I could find that still held the croc comfort factor. So, I went with the Crostrail. I bought these and a pair of high end walking sneakers for a trip to a certain mouse-themed amusement park in central Florida at which much walking occurs. These crocs were so comfortable that I wore them every day except one. And, after that one day wearing the sneakers, I immediately switched back to the crocs. After wearing the shoes designed for walking (with a price tag to match), my feet were in significantly more pain than the many days I wore these crocs. I had broken in those sneakers walking an hour (roughly 3-4 miles) each day for a month. Thanks to a handy pedometer, I can record that we were walking in excess of ten miles a day on our vacation. For pure comfort and ease on the old feet, these crocs, which really aren't too bad looking, beat out a much more expensive shoe for day long walking of distances approaching a half marathon. So, in summary, I would not hesitate to recommend these shoes. As for durability and long life, we shall see. However, I easily got my money's worth in their ability to make walking ten miles a day easy on my feet. That is all.

Actually kind of sporty, June 8, 2010
This review is from: crocs Men's Crostrail Clog (Apparel)
They're wide and I have narrow feet but I appreciate the wiggle room on a hot day. They look SO much better than the Crocs with the polka-dot holes. They have some sporty accents and when you look down you can't see skin. The ventilation is only on the sides, which makes for a decidedly un-Crocs look.
I like to wear Crocs without socks, and the suede-ish strip of stuff means the rubber is not rubbing against my instep with every step, which on other Crocs has torn my skin up after a whole day. I would say that Crocs has been paying attention and has really improved the comfort, and designed something guys won't mind wearing. If you want your feet to look dainty, look somewhere else.

Waaay too big! But, nice quality., October 25, 2010
This review is from: crocs Men's Crostrail Clog (Apparel)
I usually wear a size 11.5 mens, but sometimes I have to go to a sz 12 in some shoes. I ordered the 12 in Crocs Crostrail because they did not have an 11.5 (no half sizes). I might have been able to wear a 10!!! These are over 1 inch too long! Unbelievably large. Plus, there is tons of toe room like the other reviewers are commenting.
BOTTOM LINE: Try them on at the mall before you order them here!
CONS: I have to spend about $5 to ship them back. I WILL Order the corrected size because they're nice!
UPDATE 11/5/10: ORDERED THE MEN'S SIZE 10!!! and graphite with orange looks great with jeans...
So, I returned the crocs through Amazon's system and had a credit within 3 days. FAST! Amazon didn't have the size or color in stock, so I ordered them directly from Crocs dot com in size 10. The size 10s fit my size 11.5 foot almost perfectly. If they had half sizes I might have preferred a 10.5 for a little extra sock room for winter ----> I urge you to try them in person before ordering online. (example of variation: I have some Ace golf crocs in a 12 and they fit well... slightly large, but my cotton athletic socks make up for the extra. And no, they're ankle socks so as not to look totally nerdy on the course. Then again; I am wearing Crocs to golf, so OK... a bit nerdy.)
