3.0 out of 5 stars Not a good fit
I bought these Crocs when my other pair lost a rivet. Had I known how easy it is to get new rivets directly from Crocs, I wouldn't have
bought this pair. Oh well ~

Despite the new crocs being the same size as the old ones, the fit is poor. They are too tight, especially the right one.
The little clip that secures the strap looks cool on the page,...

5.0 out of 5 stars Super comfortable and not too croc-like, August 30, 2010
This review is from: crocs Men's Crostrail Clog (Apparel)
I have long resisted the lure of the crocs. However, last summer my mother bought me some imitation crocs at the beach for a couple of dollars. They were amazingly comfortable; everyone told me that crocs were even more so. In addition, my mother--the same mother--gave my wife a pair of crocs in 2006 that she still wears daily around the house. This combination of comfort and long life made me cave and finally purchase a pair of crocs. Because of philosophical (read vanity) objections to the design of the traditional croc, I opted for the most uncroclike shoe I could find that still held the croc comfort factor. So, I went with the Crostrail. I bought these and a pair of high end walking sneakers for a trip to a certain mouse-themed amusement park in central Florida at which much walking occurs. These crocs were so comfortable that I wore them every day except one. And, after that one day wearing the sneakers, I immediately switched back to the crocs. After wearing the shoes designed for walking (with a price tag to match), my feet were in significantly more pain than the many days I wore these crocs. I had broken in those sneakers walking an hour (roughly 3-4 miles) each day for a month. Thanks to a handy pedometer, I can record that we were walking in excess of ten miles a day on our vacation. For pure comfort and ease on the old feet, these crocs, which really aren't too bad looking, beat out a much more expensive shoe for day long walking of distances approaching a half marathon. So, in summary, I would not hesitate to recommend these shoes. As for durability and long life, we shall see. However, I easily got my money's worth in their ability to make walking ten miles a day easy on my feet. That is all.

4.0 out of 5 stars Actually kind of sporty, June 8, 2010

They're wide and I have narrow feet but I appreciate the wiggle room on a hot day. They look SO much better than the Crocs with the polka-dot holes. They have some sporty accents and when you look down you can't see skin. The ventilation is only on the sides, which makes for a decidedly un-Crocs look.

I like to wear Crocs without socks, and the suede-ish strip of stuff means the rubber is not rubbing against my instep with every step, which on other Crocs has torn my skin up after a whole day. I would say that Crocs has been paying attention and has really improved the comfort, and designed something guys won't mind wearing. If you want your feet to look dainty, look somewhere else.

I usually wear a size 11.5 mens, but sometimes I have to go to a sz 12 in some shoes. I ordered the 12 in Crocs Crostrail because they did not have an 11.5 (no half sizes). I might have been able to wear a 10!!! These are over 1 inch too long! Unbelievably large. Plus, there is tons of toe room like the other reviewers are commenting.

BOTTOM LINE: Try them on at the mall before you order them here!

CONS: I have to spend about $5 to ship them back. I WILL Order the corrected size because they're nice!

UPDATE 11/5/10: ORDERED THE MEN'S SIZE 10!!! and graphite with orange looks great with jeans...

So, I returned the crocs through Amazon's system and had a credit within 3 days. FAST! Amazon didn't have the size or color in stock, so I ordered them directly from Crocs dot com in size 10. The size 10s fit my size 11.5 foot almost perfectly. If they had half sizes I might have preferred a 10.5 for a little extra sock room for winter ----> I urge you to try them in person before ordering online. (example of variation: I have some Ace golf crocs in a 12 and they fit well... slightly large, but my cotton athletic socks make up for the extra. And no, they're ankle socks so as not to look totally nerdy on the course. Then again; I am wearing Crocs to golf, so OK... a bit nerdy.)

4.0 out of 5 stars Better fitting Crocs, July 16, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've been wearing Crocs for the past several years but always had a problem with the heel strap not fitting as snugly as would be desired. This version with adjustable strap is a vast improvement and seems to correct my earlier problem. I'm a bit concerned over the potential durability of the strap itself since it is made of webbing and shows signs of wear early after just a few weeks. I nevertheless recommend it for anyone who has a problem with loose heel strap on conventional Crocs.

5.0 out of 5 stars convinced sceptic, April 13, 2011

I have been a chef for 30 years and started off wearing wooden and leather clogs for the first 5 to 7 years. With different jobs I tried different footwear. I have had a couple of birkenstock pairs of clogs but they have split at the ball of the foot after less than a years use.
These crocs have turned out to be very comfortable and durable, so far after 3 months of very heavy use (10-12 hours a day, 5 days a week, sometimes 6) and wearing them on a concrete floor that has worn out other shoes quickly I am very happy.

They have worn on the sole slighty, but not as much as I thought they would and the rest of the shoe has held up well so far.

The sole is quite spongy on the hard floor and has been resilient for someone of my weight (155kg/350pounds) which is very important to me.

I like the breather holes on the side of the shoe, I don't get sweaty or hot feet at all (gotta watch out when there is water on the floor!) but the grip is excellent.

I've thought about buying another pair already because if I find good shoes I like to plan ahead, but I will push these ones as far as I can and see what happens. I am on performance so far, hoping for more than 12 months use.

I will update if I find issue with them.

D

UPDATE
After repeated use with these crocs I am finding that I am wearing holes in many pairs of thin socks, more than I have ever done normally or with any other shoes!

Great pair of crocs.. Pros- 1) comfortable 2)great adjustment straps 3)Exceptional traction 4)better looking than the traditional croc. Cons- 1) With the non-rubber banding around the edge, they do not dry as quickly if being used as a boat or river shoe.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crocs Crostrail, November 28, 2010

This review is from: crocs Men's Crostrail Clog (Apparel)
I have worn Crocs for many years and the only shoe I will wear, due mainly to their comfort, I need a knee replacement and these shoes are the only thing I have found to give me comfort and make it possible to walk!

This new type the Crostrail is great, they have a wide toe box for plenty of room. I bought a size 10 and they were a perfect fit. The Beach size I used to buy were 10-11 XL, so if you have wide feet don't worry go with the 10's, besides the heal strap is easy adjustable.

The gray with orange look great, even better then the pic on the web page. They are well constructed and will last a long time. I wear mine everyday and am going to buy a 2nd pair. By the way, they are still very cool without holes in the top and look better too.

Hopefully you will find this review helpful and pain free walking.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not quite the same as my previous crocs, September 11, 2010

Don't get me wrong: I like them a lot. I thought I'd like the back strap more on these than regular crocs. In reality, because the back strap is fabric, the heel piece twists when you are slipping them on, which is annoying. The crocs with the all plastic strap don't do that.

On the upside, the fabric that goes around the foot does prevent the croc from sticking to your foot like the all plastic crocs.

I'm still a croc buyer and glad they turned around and didn't go bankrupt.

Best purchase of my Summer, they have traveled to 4 countries and numerous states this year and are as comfortable as when I purchased them. I really love the traction on the soles and the comfort strap.

Great clog with awesome strap. They are comfortable and don't possess the vents directly in front the toes. Thus, much less dirt entry. Thanks!
