Super, perfect fit, comfortable, breezy, light, and fun!
on April 13, 2013
I bought the ocean/white color combo, somewhat dubious about the inconsistent Crocs sizing over the years. I wear (normally) a M6/W8 Athens II, but a M7 Cove, and can fit BOTH Cayman and Beach clogs in BOTH M7 and M6. With that said, if anyone is hesitant about the Men's 7 sizing, it is correct. Because the shoe is adjustable and can be tightened, it's OK if it's slightly too large. My foot is 9.5" long and my big toe is just barely 1/4" shorter than the very front of the shoe, but it's OK, my foot doesn't slide around inside of this like it does in the Cove.
Without socks, you'd figure you would get the "sweaty foot" syndrome, but no, the inside of the shoe is made of a soft and very pliable version of the Croslite, not the thicker kind that you find on the sole of the Outdoor Clogs or Mario Batali clogs. Because of the grooves in the footbed, and (see the pictures) because the footbed also has "slits" where the material alternates colors, that provides just enough breathability to keep you foot from sweating over, like you would in a Batali clog or the Professional w/o vent holes. I literally wore these all day, for about 6 hours straight (I'm in Hawaii, remember), and barely had any discomfort, and no "sweaty feet." When I took them off and walked barefoot on my hard marble tile and onto my carpet, my feet felt fine, not like, "oh I'm glad I took off those shoes." They really are comfortable, and I'm planning an order as I type this for two more, maybe in red and navy.
The color scheme is fun, and even the "weird" color combination of bright light sky blue and white sole was eye-turning, I had some gals ask me where I got them, and almost all looked down at my feet. This is a good thing! LOL's.
The only caveat is that I worry a little about how long it will last, as the WHOLE SHOE is soft and pliable. That may be a good thing for flexibility and comfort, but longevity? Class is not yet out on that one! Stay tuned.
