ABF:(Achy Blistering Feet)- look great while you limp, April 27, 2010
This review is from: crocs Women's ABF Flip Flop (Apparel)
Other reviewers are exactly right- heavy, snappy, stiff, and oddly contoured for...I'm not sure who's feet. These look great & you buy them from past happy Croc experiences but these new Crocs should have been left behind at the development table. Love the look of them on my feet (sitting) but walking in them promises an impending threat of blisters. The Adara's were the most comfortable slide Croc they produced and they have discontinued them!!?? Why? To bring these new torture devices to light. Do your feet a favor and steer clear of these ABF flops.

TOO STIFF, April 17, 2010

I was so excited to get these shoes and when I got them I went out of town for the day and did a lot of walking, knowing I would be fine in "Crocs"....well I wasn't. My feet hurt for days after. I would NOT recommend them at all. They are too hard and uncomfortable. I also didn't feel very confident walking in them either. They are very snug on the foot and felt it like I was walking on a brick with golf balls on the bottom.

I clomp around in these things! - update, April 5, 2010
This review is from: crocs Women's ABF Flip Flop (Apparel)
I've been wearing my Crocs Malinda flats for two years and love them, and purchase the classic Crocs thong sandal last year for walking around the neighborhood.
I thought I'd try these out since they sounded like they'd be comfortable and formed to my feet. They are dense!! Not the typical Crocs material. Because of that, they aren't nearly as flexible and therefore they make a lot of noise - they "clomp" rather than "flop". I worry that if I wear them too much, I'll damage the straps since there seems to be so much force needed to make them spring up while walking.
I've only worn them around the apartment so far. I'm concerned about stairs - I worry I'll trip since they aren't flexible. I have hardwood floors and bet that I'm irritating my downstairs neighbors with the amount of noise they make when I walk.
The one good thing about them is that they are nicely molded and do feel good when you're standing. So if you do a lot of standing but not as much walking, it could be a good fit. Or, if you've never experienced Crocs before and therefore don't know any better. Since they are much denser than ordinary Crocs, I imagine their soles & tread will last longer, but I haven't used them much since I prefer my older pair. Maybe if I'm just standing at the sink doing dishes...
Update: 4 weeks later, I finally thought I'd give 'em a try walking to my local coffee shop, about 10 blocks. As soon as I got there I knew I'd be in for a long walk back. The straps rubbed so hard on the top of both feet - I have 1 1/2 inch red scabs. I'd expect that from a cheap thong sandal, not Crocs.
Very disappointed that I spent money on these and wish I just had a new pair of their lighter sandals.
